About Us

Animorphic Studios, LLC was founded in 2001 by photographers / graphic designers Michael and Lisa Williams to provide their creative, high-end design services in nearly every medium to the Dayton area. The unusual re-spelling of the word "anamorphic" to "animorphic" was a reference to both animation and cinematography, Lisa's areas of study at the Art Institute of Colorado, and this domain was originally used as her portfolio website.

In 2005, the company expanded to provide a full compliment of videography and photography services, including wedding photography and videography, sporting events, documentaries, and much more.

Michael Williams — Photographer, Videographer, Designer, Web Developer

Michael Williams entered the magical (and ever so esoteric) world of graphic design and photography in 1997 when he enrolled into the Visual Communication Technology program at Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio. He earned his Associate of Applied Science in Technology in May of 2000, and immediately transfered to Bowling Green State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Technology.

To this day he is an avid BGSU athletics fan (GO FALCONS!) and has given back to the community in multiple ways, including designing a web site for former BG and NFL quarterback Josh Harris.

He is an extraordinarily diverse designer/developer with a background in print design, photography, videography, 2D and 3D animation, and especially web design and development, in which he has a passion for creating beautiful, impecabbly well-formed sites and applications that follow W3C standards compliance.

Michael is a true web developer, with extensive knowledge in proper programming techniques, and can develop anything from a simple web page to complex database-driven applications complete with custom content management systems using PHP, ASP.NET, dynamic HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Flash, and 3D animation.

Additionally, he is an avid Star Wars fan, and has a managerie of Star Wars memorabilia new and old. In his spare time, he enjoys watching movies of all kinds, reading, video gaming, playing piano and guitar, and attending the occasional college football game.

Lisa Williams — Photographer, Videographer, Designer, Illustrator

Lisa’s main area of expertise is in photography, with emphasis in portraiture and commercial photography. She also creates illustrations, technical drawings, and page layouts.

Lisa is professionally trained in videography. She has been a video camera operator for weddings and sporting events, and has done editing and live switching. She also has a background in animation and web design, with a Bachelor's in Media Arts & Animation from The Art Institute of Colorado in 2002.

Lisa is also a Star Wars fan (disregarding episodes 1-3) and a Harry Potter fan. For fun, Lisa enjoys drawing and painting, crafts, watching movies, playing the flute, and attending musicals and concerts.

Mike Niklas — Videographer, Audio Engineer, Musician

Mike Niklas has been an audio engineer for over 20 years and a musician for over 40. He plays many instruments, including guitar, bass, harmonica, flute, piano, banjo, percussion, and mandolin. If you need a backup singer or another instrument on your project, let him know! He can also write original music for you.

Mike is very capable of high quality live recordings and has recorded music at funerals and weddings to edit and put on CD for various families. His expertise in audio is essential to our videography services. He also has a recording studio and has recorded many singers and full bands.

On the side, Mike enjoys playing volleyball, writing music, jamming with friends, and riding his 4-wheeler.
